COVID-19 Awareness Programme

On the auspicious occasion of the Bengali New Year, Dr. Anup Mangal, President, NSWB and his team organised an awareness programme on the devastating impact of COVID-19 at Bagnan in association with the Bagnan Youth Club.

Dr. Anup Mangal warns about the sudden spike in the number of covid cases caused as a result of the recent negligence of adhering to the safety protocols and the seriousness of the triple mutant virus.

Dr. Mangal stresses on the importance of following all the safety measures like social distancing, use of masks and sanitizers. In case one tests positive, Dr. Mangal suggests consulting a medical professional instead of following home-based remedies.

Camp at

On the occasion of Saraswati Puja, a medical camp was organised under the leadership of Dr. Anup Mangal at Khadinan, a small town in the District of Howrah.

Free medical check-up was provided to 120 children.
The parents were made aware of the importance of proper nutrient intake and supplements for children. Advice on correct way of cooking, adequate intake of water, maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation were given to all the attendees.

Food Distribution at Park Circus Area

At the onset of the 2nd wave of the pandemic and the lockdown that was announced as a result of the same, NSWB took the initiative to feed the street dwellers of the Park Circus Area.

The secretary, Dr Sumita Saha, herself stood in the frontline and made all the arrangements and served the meals herself. All the safety protocols were maintained during the distribution ensuring safety to the volunteers as well as the street dwellers.
